I'm Stephanie Capiron, the Remedial Massage Therapist at Westside Health & Sports Clinic. If I could give one word to describe my approach to Massage Therapy, it would be 'holistic'. My philosophy is to inspire, restore and promote a balance between the mind, body and spirit. I graduated from the Australian College of Massage where my skills involve:
Relaxation massage is essentially the same as a gentle swedish massage that uses smooth, gliding strokes. The primary purpose will be to help you relax and stimulate blood circulation.
Remedial massage requires deeper acupressure. The key benefits include stimulation to the blood supply allowing toxins in the muscles to be removed; the calming of the peripheral nervous system to ease pain and discomfort; and the toning and relaxing of muscles to improve joint mobility
Sports massage is a deeper type of massage that works specifically with sporting injuries and ailments. Clients who are active people come in for treatment to recover from injury sustained during sport.
Reflexology is the application of pressure to areas on the feet, hands and ears. Reflexology is generally relaxing and may be an effective way to alleviate stress.
Pregnancy massage, also known as pre-natal massage, promotes relaxation, soothes nerves, and relieves strained back and leg muscles in expectant mothers. Pregnancy massage is especially beneficial in the second and third trimesters, when the extra weight in your belly puts a strain on your back.
